PENPAPER AI GUIDE
Your first reminder.
A little less to remember.
Start with one everyday task you already understand. Tell PenPaper what needs attention, when it matters and what help you want. Then check what it has saved before you move on.

1. Choose where to use it
Open the web app, or visit Downloads for Mac, Windows and Android. On iPhone, use the web app in your browser; the App Store version is not available yet. Use the same account when switching devices.
WhatsApp chats and reminders depend on connecting WhatsApp through your account and feature availability. You can start on the web without setting up WhatsApp.
2. Give one clear task, with a date and time
These are example prompts, not records from a customer account. Replace the bracketed details with your own. You can ask in English or an Indian language you use naturally.
A bill to check
“Remind me to check my electricity bill on [date] at [time], India time.”
Replace the brackets with a future date and time. Start with a reminder to review the bill; this does not authorise a payment. If you share the bill, check the amount and due date PenPaper reads back.
A family appointment
“I have an appointment on [date] at [time]. Remind me the evening before to check the documents I need.”
Include the appointment time and the reminder time separately. If someone else is attending, you can keep their name out of the prompt unless it is needed to tell appointments apart.
A renewal to review
“My subscription renews on [date]. Remind me three days earlier to decide whether to keep it.”
This creates a chance to make a decision before the renewal. It is different from asking an assistant to cancel the subscription, which may need a connected service and a separate confirmation.
3. Check the saved result
Review the task description, date, time and timezone in the reply or task record. “Tomorrow evening” can be ambiguous; a specific time is easier to check. If a detail is wrong, correct it and confirm the updated result.
Ask “What reminders are coming up this week?” to review your list. A drafted plan and a saved reminder are different things: look for a confirmation that the reminder was created. Where a device or channel needs notification permission, check that it is enabled.
4. Connect services when a task needs them
PenPaper uses the information you share and the services you connect. A reminder does not give blanket permission to send a message, change an account or make a payment. Available actions follow your permissions, with confirmation where required.
Read how permissions and safety work before connecting services. If a requested action is unavailable, keep the reminder and complete that step yourself.
Start small, then build your routine
Try one reminder first. Once you have checked the result, add the next bill, appointment or renewal. You can compare current limits on the pricing page or contact the team if you need help.
